The Dog and The Goat

Goats have horns, right? But long time ago, goats did not have horns, but they had tails. Instead dogs had horns, but they did not have tails. How did goats get the horns? How did dogs get the tails? Here is the story: Once upon a time in a jungle, there was dog who befriended a goat. Other animals who lived in the jungle liked the dog, but they hated the goat. The goat then asked himself why the animals did not like him. He looked at his reflection in the river and said to himself, “No wonder they hate me. I look weak.”

At that time, the dog passed by the river, he asked, “Hey Goat, what are you doing?” The goat looked at the dog and an idea came to his mind, “Hello my friend dog. I was just wondering if I could borrow your horns.” He said while making a sad face. The dog stayed quiet for a while, and then he said, “Okay, but promise me that you will return them soon.” The goat answered, “I promise.” Then the dog gave his horns to the goat. The goat looked at his reflection again and, “Wow, I look really great.” Day by day passed by, other animals began to like the goat because he looked strong with the horns on his head. One day the dog came to the goat’s house, he said, “Hello goat, I see now you are friends with other animals. Can I get my horns back?” “Oh, not now, not now. I will return it tomorrow.” Answer the goat.

The goat did not want to return the dog’s horns; he then decided to go to another jungle. He ran away from the jungle, but the dog saw him, “Hey goat, where are you going?” seeing the dog, the goat ran faster. The dog ran after him. The goat ran as fast as he could, but the dog managed to bite his tail. The goat screamed in pain and then ran faster. The dog was angry, but he was too tired to run. Besides, he already got the goat’s tail. Since that day, dogs and goats became enemies.
